FALCON Engineering Services (FALCON) provided full construction management and inspection services. This project involved the widening of existing UPRR overhead and replacement of overcrossing bridges over the I-10 freeway. Work included adding a new bridge over Union Pacific Railroad and rehabilitation of existing overhead (OH) bridge, construction of new ramps, the addition of loop ramps, realignment and widening existing ramps, 1400lf of realignment/reconstruction of existing channels, construction of retaining walls, sound walls, and arterial street widening. The project also included elaborate architectural features along retaining walls, sound walls and bridge exteriors and railings, utility relocations, flood control improvements, traffic and signal and ramp metering, grading, drainage modifications, signing and striping, traffic handling, and replacement planting.
