Assistant Structure Representative: Ensure the quality and compliance of plans and specifications for bridge engineering and construction projects. Develop computational design tools and methodologies to verify the strength and compliance of temporary and permanent bridge structures. Perform conceptual and detailed design checks of bridges and temporary structures such as falsework and shoring. Perform field investigations to verify work quality and contract compliance and prepare daily field inspections and technical reports to document progress and construction issues. Recommend quality tests and enforce construction compliance regarding contract documents, safety regulations, and environmental standards. Analyze roadway and bridge issues that arise throughout the project and modify blueprints as necessary. Report critical issues and possible delays to the Resident Engineer and assist in resolving structural-related issues that may arise during bridge construction. Review change orders, submittals, shop drawings, and material testing, RFI’s, and engineering drawings for shoring, falsework, post-tension, and bridge removal. Communicate and coordinate effectively with various contractors, entities, clients, and regulatory agencies by sampling and testing construction materials, construction staking, and surveying. Monitor and track progress and the resolution of construction and compliance issues. Conduct weekly training for company employees on structural analysis and design topics as well as updates to codes and manuals. Keep abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry trends in bridge engineering and construction. The position supervises 2 Structural Inspectors. Requirements: The position requires a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field and two years of experience in the job offered or a related position. This may be substituted with a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related field and five years of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills and knowledge of structural analysis using FEA software, including SAP2000, ANSYS, and RISA. Salary: $176,800.00 to $239,200.00 per year 40 hours/week.
