FALCON Engineering Services (FALCON) was a sub-consultant to Jacobs and provided construction inspection. The project involved demolishing the existing SR-74 and I-215 separation structure. Constructed a new cast-in-place, post-tensioned concrete box girder overcrossing structure; realignment, reconstruction, and widening ramps. Reconfigured 4^th Street/Redlands Avenue Intersection; widened 4^th Street (SR-74) between G Street and Redlands Avenue; widened Redlands Avenue between 4^th Street and San Jacinto Avenue. Constructed retaining walls, mechanically stabilized embankment (MSE) walls, sound walls, drainage systems, traffic signal systems, ramp meters, signs, hot mix asphalt (HMA), pavement delineation, and landscaping. Project elements included a new eight-lane, two-span cast in place, post-tensioned concrete box girder bridge; new freeway on/off-ramps with ramp metering and traffic signals. Improvements to existing city street intersections to improve traffic flow; major drainage improvements including two jacked reinforced concrete pipe systems and a precast concrete box system; 7,500 square feet of mechanically stabilized embankment (MSE) walls; and 34,300 square feet of masonry block sound wall.
